kde4.1 task manager

If someone does.... let us know. Atm I'm staying far away from 4.1.... still only using Gnome right now.

i have two quarrels with kde4.1 the taskmanager and thev konsole font

i tried that but everytime i log in the konsole font goes back to its lowest setting

You have to change the current profile, not just the default settings in the menubar.

Right click in a console window, then "Edit current profile". Apply the settings and it should be set.

Hmmmmm, maybe an Ubuntu bug then... let me see if I can reproduce this error... haven't noticed this yet.

I'm sure I had multiple rows yesterday... or am I imagining things?

Will test it again tomorrow.

I wanted to format my work machine today and put on Kubuntu 8.10, but now i´m starting to think otherwise.

I read that the final release of KDE 4.2 will have multi row task manager, so lets hope!

The problem at this stage, and I think I mentioned it before, is that KDE4 is still under heavy development. With each new release so far (from 4.0 to current) the API has changed making it impossible to maintain anything related to "eye cady" (plasmoids, themes, etc.)

Example is this plasmoid mentioned in this thread. It will not compile/work for any release except the one specified. Reading the comments it seems to be the SVN tree.

So there you have it, still a ways to go, but I still like it, it has grown on me!

Yep I imagined things, no multi-rows but I'm happy with kubuntu 8.10. Only thing missing for me is irKick.

Yeah you mentioned that. Funnily enough... they don't seem to mention it at all ....

...problem is, when is it coming out?
