Hey guys I can get a 2nd hand 27'' samsung monitor for R2200 2nd hand. If I sell my 24'' for say a grand I'll just pay the difference of R1200 basically.
My question is comparing these 2 monitors is it worth it?

I currently have this 24''

http://m.samsung.com/us/support/owners/product/LS24LRZKUV/ZA

And I can get this 27''

http://m.samsung.com/sg/consumer/pc-peripherals-printer/monitor/led-monitor/LS27A550HS/XS

I'm not one to splash out money so even R1200 is a lot for me :D

I currently play pc on my 24'' and sometimes hook my ps3 to it as well when the lady is busy using the TV.

Is 27'' a bigger better difference then 24''?

Thanks

No it's not worth it, leave it be.

PS: just send me the contact of the seller via pm.

Ok mine is LCD and the 27'' is LED. They both display the same resolution of 1920x1080
Will I notice a bit of a drop in quality on the 27'' because of the same resolution on a bigger screen?

I would rather get another 24"

I was thinking the same thing, but as it often happens, when someone really wants something, they post it here to get reasons to tell their SO why it is so great replacing existing gear... So OP, go for it! Bigger is better!

+1

I went 24" to 32" and now 40". All Sammy. Working and gaming g on the bugger screens is awesome.

I use 2 X 24" as my second and third screens though.

When u game on the bigger screens how far are u away from the screen? I sit about 60cm away from the screen and I've heard that if u sit this close and go bigger but same resolution you will notice the bigger pixels and the smaller screen would be clearer etc.

About 1M back when gaming cause I lay back in my chair. About 60cm too when working.

I honestly can't see pixels. Picture is great between all 3 HD screens.

I think this issue is subjective though and you need to try it to see for yourself. If you are close to Edenvale you are welcome to pop around and try my setup to see for yourself how it feels. Being a 40" would distort the perception though.

27" is a waste. Go 32" LCD TV, much better picture quality and functionality. You should have 80+cm viewing distance though.

Finally someone who has a large sammy and sits less than 1m when from it without noticing pixels :D.

2x 24" screens are much bigger and have double the resolution of a 27" screen.

Don't think I would enjoy playing with 2 screens cause the game would split in the middle
