I assume this is some stupid MTN Zone message. Any idea how I disable the bugger?

Thanks

Isn't the whole point of MTN zone to tell you what discounts apply in certain areas?

Given smartphones don't do cell broadcast I think this is the only way for the info to be displayed.

I figured out it was indeed a cell broadcast, which had to be shut off. Thing is I didn't turn it on, which is why I had difficulty switching it off.

For all of you who don't know:

To enable/disable cell broadcasts in Android Settings > Call (ja, I don't know why it is there either) > Cell broadcast [x]

Do you know how to disable the cell broadcast on a Huawei - as the option to disable is grey out????

I get this irritating message as well on my Huawei P7.

But I don't even see "Cell Broadcast" in my call settings.

EDIT: Nevermind. Got it. It's under Running Applications.

Update:

It comes back again. After a day or so, cell broadcasts just get automatically switched on again.
