I have about 300 free off-peak minutes on my current package which is coming to an end the end of this month. If I upgrade that contract to a Smart contract, would the free minutes be added onto the new package?

Please PM me the number .... I will generate a dummy migration quote and see if minutes will be carried over and how much. Advise what Smart package you will be moving to please in the PM please.

I know with MTN they transferred my free minutes to a monetary value and transferred that monetary value over to my new package. All depends on that. But AFAIK, it should transfer normally

Same with us...but with the smart packages...the carry over rules are different and some have the minutes split between peak and off peak...so not sure if the minutes from a weekender or talk package will be able to carry over to a smart package. Generating a migration quote will give us the answer.

When I upgraded to a Smart 229 package some of my old minutes carried over, it was something like a months or two?

System will not allow me to continue as there is a pending migration to prepaid loaded already.

Thanks. I am going to use up the minutes and will get a new contract when I'm ready.

If you migrate from a Talk package to a Smart package the minutes will carry over, but the minutes needs to be used before the end of the following month otherwise it will expire (as per the rules of carry over of the smart plans).

usually 3 months, free minutes expire after that AFAIK. I was pissed off when I learned that because according to me it should be 12 months.

My husband upgraded last month from Weekender to Smart Standard, the shop said his left over minutes (200 odd) would carry over...on first Sept, he only had the Smart Standard minutes...the rest were gone
