Is it still wise to keep US$ in a global account or PayPal:
Brics are launching their own currency
Money countries are ditching the US$
Trump might come back
'DA might win our elections'

So maybe the Dollar might weaken from the one side, and the Rand might improve from the other

The Dollar is going nowhere. When Trump returns it is game over. All countries in BRICS will collapse, so will any country that abandoned the Dollar. After this, the Democrats will never be in US government again. The world will return to normality and Dollar continuing to grow and strengthen. Besides, the way SA is run, the Rand too will be at R300 to the Dollar at some point in time.

Why would you keep USD in a PayPal account instead of investing it?
Which currency will replace USD and when? The only economy & currency which had a chance of replacing USD as primary reserve currency has lost steam.
What does another 4 years of Trump have to do with long term dollar strength? Many analysts actually predict a slight increase in dollar strength if he wins.
As much as we all want the DA to win (F you ANC voters!), it isn’t gonna happen.

The dollar might lose steam as US interest rates come down, but you would need to be a fool to bet on the Rand instead.

There is no recovery for US from the hole they have dug for themselves.
And not only that, the swamp has taken over and is too deep and full of creatures that are now permanent features.

1 trillion Dollars in new debt every 100 days just to stay static!
34 trillion Dollars in debt. There is no coming back.

BRICS+ is going nowhere, they are only getting started, while the Dollar is on it's last legs.

I disagree with everything in your post, in fact it's one of the most inaccurate posts I've read on MyBB, however your grammar and sentence structure were good.

But you are wrong. Very wrong.

May I please have the next 100 million Lotto Jackpot numbers from the MyBB Nostradami via PM please?

There are only 49 numbers. They all have an equal chance of being a winning number.

I’d love the winning combos for each draw though. Sure that is what you meant too.

The next 100 mil draws… we can all share that prize money and be way better off than most!

... because OP has a SA bank account and no investment will protect him from ZAR decline.

Investec and RMB are both very optimistic about the Rand ending R17.80 end of the year. I wish it was true, but not sure I agree with them

So open an IBKR account, convert money to USD and buy ETFs that way. Unless I'm missing something and it's not that easy with a SA account? (I'm not in SA)

Sounds plausible but that'd be way beyond me. Not talking hundreds of thousands here, say R10/R20k .

I'd also have gone with the Paypal idea .
