Kempton Park - Telkom lines down since 17 September

Hi there,

Anyone else in Kempton Park been without a tel / ADSL line since last week Wednesday? Telkom are just saying its a bulk fault - cable theft - its underground - and no ETA

Hi Mark,

I spoke to the technicians working on the corner of CR Swart and the last street heading into Edleen just before you turn-off to builders. (I apologize for my location description, but I'm new to the area).

On Saturday they told me that they will need to reconnect the lines one by one and that they will probably only be done on Wednesday.

Would be nice if someone could ask them on for a progress report.

Hey Greenbarette - thanks for the update! Assuming you also live in the area. Every so often I peak at my router to see if the DSL light has sync'd...lol.

I've asked Telkom a few times where the issue was but they could not tell me and I've been looking around when I drove - at least now I know where they are might take them a flask of coffee or so...who knows...maybe they do my line next...hehe.

Got an sms from Telkom today to say they will be giving me credit essentially for the downtime and my line should be reconnected ASAP.

Anyhoo...if I hear something further I'll post it here. Please anyone else do the same.
