Key remote replacement

Hi oaks. So the wife's accent remote buttons seem to have deteriorated to the point of the lock button on the remote falling out (lucky for her she found the button in her purse). I stuck it down with insulation tape to hold it in place and its working without issue. Do you oaks think that this will be a good option long term or you have alternative recommendations? Don't want to spend R1000 on a new remote because the current remote works without issue, just that the buttons have deteriorated. Or does anyone know where I can get a new shell thats cheaper round Joburg.

If you don't come right in Jhb then you can contact this company in Cape Town. Maybe they can post it to you. A colleague at work had both his Elantra keys replaced with them. They transferred his transponders to new shells and had to cut new keys. He paid about R550 each. Pricing is at bottom of page. https://keytronix.co.za
