Hi Guys,

I was wondering if you guys could recommend a decent keyboard. I only have a few requirements, I would like it to have a USB port and audio ports on it and media keys if possible. I have had a look at a couple but with they get mixed reviews on the net the couple I've had a look at are the
Logitech G510

Razer Lycosa

Cyborg V7

Roccat Valo

All of these have pretty much the same spec. If any of you guys have used these how have you found them? Also do you have any other suggestions

Thanks a millions Gents

Those are all rubber membrane keyboards if I'm not mistaken. Once you go mechanical you'll never go back.

What will you be using the keyboard for?

Keyboards

I have the Logitech G510, it is a very wide keyboard. As a gaming k/board it is very good. The downside is the width for me, as I have a slide out shelf on my desk, that carries the keyboard, and my G500 mouse.
I used own the Razor Black Widow mechanical k/board,it was good, but,I did not like klackety klack sound, that emitted, eveytime a key was pressed. Both keyboards were very programmable, I did like the rubbery feel of the Razor.
The LCD on the G510 is a bit of a gimmick, not really needed.
What swung me to the G510 was the 18 programmable keys, which can be used for gameing as well as the office.

Do you prefer sensitive keys that are easier to press, or firmer keys that require a bit more force?

I will link the Mechanical Keyboard Thread shortly, or you can search for it.

I see rebeltech has the Razer black widow ultimate which is a mechanical, I don't think I have ever used a mechanical keyboard. I am intrigued.

Edit: only saw you response now, I have found the post about the mechanical keyboards. I quite like a soft keyboard ie. laptop keyboards are awesome.

Yes it's also not fully mechanical, Esc - F12 and I think the function keys (above arrows) and num keys. It uses Red switches which are light and linear meaning they press straight down with no tactile bump or feedback at actuation point (half way of a key press) which Blue and Brown switches provide. Blues bump and click and require 50g to depress, Browns bump but don't click and require 45g (like Reds).
