Yip Yum! brands own KFC and now BK, owned by a Muslim guy.
Tried this new Double Down, the lady had no idea what I wanted, had to show her a picture, then had to argue with the chefs for a Zinger Double Down, it was OK, not the best thing ever, was awkward to eat, nose, chin fingers all covered in oil...
Still have some left over for later.

Missed out on stacks in this thread, but are there? Off the top of my head the local Steers, Fishaways, Something Fishy, Roman's, Debonair's, Nando's and McDonalds proudly display their halal certification. Pick 'n Pay, SPAR and Woolworths have the little label adorning entire swathes of their product lines. And for what? So we don't offend, what, 2% of the local population? Talk about disproportionate influence.
I have no problem with somebody praying to fishpaste or McDonalds nuggets... go right ahead.
Just give the KFC's, McDonalds and Burger Kings in NON muslim areas the normal menu's. 95% of us in South Africa aren't scared of eating bacon.

Just give me the option of having some damn thinly sliced pig on my food. If people want to deny themselves the magic of bacon - and let's be honest, bacon is magical - they're more than welcome to. I don't however see why my choices of foodstuffs need to be made for me, in order to protect the sensibilities of the few.

Areas where there are far more people who aren't Muslim I would consider a non-muslim area. That's not to say Muslims don't live in that area nor that they don't have the right to. By all means go right ahead.
You can't deny that there are areas where there would be a larger concentration of muslim people eg around mosques and also areas where there will be less or hardly any muslim people.

Haven't been in a Wimpy in yonks, but their website creates the impression that they do both halal and... erm... 'normal'.
