KFC Double Down

well its all relative. i'd get full on that. especially since i dont have fizzy drinks and cut back on carbs.
actually i'm not sure what you guys are on about. buying the double down is optional. if you can afford it and like it then buy it otherwise eat something else. afterall its only a quick meal and then you move on.

It's something you give to a health nut, they will eat it within seconds, then go sit in a corner and weep...The smoked chicken in the middle is pointless though...if no bacon, just give the chicken and cheese.

i disagree, once you start eating healthier you get used to it after some time. but i must say i dont fancy the smoked chicken slice. would love to have it with bacon. i'll probably only eat it while sharing that and a piece of sidebreast/wings/pops.

Yeah, that is pretty much what we did, pops and snack burger.

If an ordinary piece of chicken is about R13, then how the hell can they get away with charging what they do for chucking some cheese and imitation chicken bacon in the centre?

I used to sometimes buy a zinger fillet alone since i enjoy it plain and it costs R20 so thats R40 for the 2 which means they charging R5 for the smoked chicken slice 2 slices of cheese and the sauce.....

The TV ad for the double down is really starting to get annoying.

Fresh Woolworths ham, cheese and tomato baguette = R24.99, so I will still have R20 left instead of buying this cholesterol double chicken nonsense.

Agree. Crazy price for something that is definitely not worth it. It's good, but there are better options in that price range.

Jeez, had this last Thursday and it sucked balls.
It tasted like an expensive piece of salt and that's it.

The grand chicken from McDonalds is way better.

R20 for a piece of chicken?! Why anyone would settle for that is beyond me...

Just had this. Was honestly the most disgusting thing I've had for a while...

Decided to try it out tonight, beside the crappy cheese they use, the zinger fillets were quite nice, not nearly as oily as the usual chicken pieces and the chicken slither was decent. but no ways is it worth R45.. R25 at a push...

R25 really? R35 would be a bargain. R40 would be fair.

I'm finding it quite healthy, my abs are popping out and looking alot more cut.
Maybe it's just my imagination...

I wouldn't pay a cent over R35 for a Double Down. The excellent zinger burger is R25. Any more expensive and my usual order of a zinger burger meal and 8 zinger wings will shred it for value.

Nah i'd much rather have a full meal for that price

Had one yesterday, no thanks to another one. At least it was filling
