Have put my name down for one - Mocha colour with sunroof.
Will be smacking Korean issued HID lights on fron and LED lights on the rear.
Also more 'beefy' rims.

What do you guys think of this city runabout?

hoping to take delivery of a titanium silver on Wednesday - where are you sourcing the lights

Great little car. I just bought my wife a new Hyundai I10 1.25 auto. Her 1st choice was the Picanto but here in Cape Town there is a 3 month waiting period for an auto.

I read somewhere about a problem with the electric steering; it doesn't automatically centre after turning a corner.

Mines going to be auto (1.2 EX) - I just popped into the Tokai branch three weeks ago and only decided to go ahead last week and am taking delivery tomorrow so I don't know about the waiting list. The salesman did say that they had to wait for cars to clear customs but that they had already arrived - I think I was just lucky to get it in the colour I wanted.

edit: I convinced them to only have the car registered next year - should save a bit on the resale value

Woe .. Dawaster …. Make sure it is a new car (not a demo) and a 1.25 … not a 1 liter.

I tried to purchase an 1.25 EX auto from Tokai branch more than 2 months ago. Still waiting for them to contact me …

In the mean time I found a cancelled order in Tigerburg. So been driving my Titanium Silver EX Auto with sunroof for a couple of months now. Very nice car. Steering is a little different, but you get used to it.

I do have a gripe though .. the audio system has no bass. And trying to add a sub is almost impossible. You cannot get access to anything on these cars.

Just picked it up an hour ago - damn its nogal cute - wife's gonna love when she gets home.

They definitely don't have any issues selling them that's for sure - the salesman said that to order one now for March/April delivery. mine doesn't have a sunroof - really wanted a red one though but this colour is nice too. the bluetooth works perfectly on my old Nokia and I love the fact that I can just dump a whole lot of mp3's on a memory stick and it works perfectly.

Congrats :D

My original decision is starting to lose steam... might not buy the Picanto any more...

They are great little cars, but that's one of two issues:
1) Small cars on the road with tons of SUV and double cabs.
2) Waiting period - I chose Mocha with a sunroof - delivery app. end of Feb.

I had an Uno a while back. Brilliant fuel economy and zippy in town but I never felt very safe on busy roads.

Looking at the KIA Soul unless KIA Hatfield can get me a Picanto soon...

KIA and Hyundai owners take note:
