Is it worth buying Rio Tec over Ex?

I don't really see much difference.

The Tec has 6 airbags compared to the 2 on the EX, it also has climate control, PDC(rear), cruise control, rain sensing wipers as well as leather seats as standard features. Looks like a lot of value for the extra 25k.

I think Kia are being a bunch of misers though, what's up with the two airbags on all the basic models and suddenly bumping that to six on their top spec model? most of their competitors have 4.

This. The SO is looking at new cars and I saw this the other day. I think it is friggin pathetic that safety comes as an extra.
