Kiacarsave.com what is it extra insurance?

Hi all

Does anybody have this on their car?
Is it one big scam? Do they also cover Hyundai's or Toyota's as well?

I mean with most cars when its written off that's that, you get your money, ( if the stars align) and that's that

What do these guys do? Is it insurance on top of your insurance?

Or what's the deal here?

The site is .co.za and not .com

This is a service offered by KIA so can't see they covering other brands.

It looks like a choice for parts direct from Kia, who knows how it actually works.

Some insurers are bound by contract to give the car, no matter the condition, to the salvage dealer and they get 27-33% of the settlement amount for the car - even if burnt out or just 65% damage.

So taking the above into consideration this could be a waste of time and do you really want a newish car back after it has been so severely damaged?
