I've been wanting to buy something similar for our 8 year old for a while - a few weeks a family-friend, who's daughter is friends with ours, came to pick her up, assuming that my daughter already got permission to go swim at their house. Can you imagine how my wife freaked out when she realised ours isn't home :) Luckily the friend lives at the end of our street.

Anyway, if you're willing to wait, you can save two-thirds of your money:)

I'm a bit broke now, so I'll buy at the end of the month, in fact I think I should buy two, one for our 5 year old as well!

Yep, for that saving, I'm also willing to wait. BUT with Post Office issues, it may be an indefinite wait though.

My only problem however: if someone kidnaps your child, they will take this device off and throw it away immediately. I wish I could rather "chip" my child like you do with pets.

I know that there are a couple of ankle bracelets that need a key to remove (no phone, just gps).

I placed an order for two packages at the end of September, when I checked the tracking page on Monday, both were at my local post office already. Maybe its just my luck :)

Amway, I've read through the features, and it seems that the watch also sends you an alarm notification the moment the watch is taken off. Its not ideal, but at least you'd have something to work with. And lets face it, the average joe would never think this watch has a GPS transceiver

They would see something they can sell.

Oh OK, great! So you bought off of Aliexpress with no problems? How much Vat did you have to pay and was shipping really free of charge? I am very interested at that price.

I order from AliExpress every single month (if its not lights, its phones, CCTV cameras, anything electric, or electronic) I order most things from China. This is why the first thing I did was check if I can get the watch from China for cheaper :D

For this year I've only had to pay pay VAT on two packages, one was for two LED floodlights, but I can't remember what the other was now. Its really small amounts though.

What I usually do is tell the seller to declare the item at a much lower value . Customs can't dispute what you paid for an item, they go on the value the item was declared at on the other side. So the lower amounts they don't bother with Vat and customs charges.

Oh and yes, shipping is 100% free
