How do you stop this permanently? It takes 2+ minutes to do this test  or I got to hit ESC every time I startup. Any suggestions?

go into the bios and take off the Extended Memory Test or something like that. If you go into the bios there is an option somewhere that will only do a quick scan (about 2 seconds) instead of the full test.

Yeah... I have 2g of RAM and it only takes me about 10 seconds to run through the whole test. Either you're running a GIGANTIC server or there's something wrong there...

I have 4GB, test only takes 11.4 secs. If its taking any longer than that... there is something wrong.

Check under advanced bios / chipset settings, in the bios. Usually there's a quick boot option. If all else fails load the default bios options and tweak from there.

The problem is turning quick boot on also disables other things in the boot-up, the long memory test is damn annoying I've got it to. Quick boot does get rid of it but I don't want to turn it on because it disables other start-up things as well.
