when do you get the quest the time is nigh in nightfallhttp://mybroadband.co.za/vb/images/smilies/eek.gif

All depends on what chapter you are playing, but like James suggested check it on guildwiki

[Whistle]...TAXI!!!

"The Time is Nigh" AKA "How to make easy gold as taxi to Consulate docks!!!".
You will need to be level 17, or a certain rank in Sunspear. It's usually easier/quicker to just get the rank in Sunspear. Remember, if you are wanting this quest to act as a taxi to make gold, remember to abandon it once you get to the docks so you can rinse and repeat :)

But as the others have mentioned, you can find out all about the quest via the link that James posted.

Repeating this Time is Nigh as a ferry for gold is such a waste of time IMO.
The gold is not much @ 500g p/p, plus you sometimes wait for a while to get a full party and then the others you have already don't want to wait for a full party.

Plus, this one is very easy to scam.
1/ If you ask for them to pay in Kamadan, then people don't want to pay, coz they think you will leave them there
2/ ask in the Consulate and ppl complain it aint right and you can still leave them there
3/ and when you ask at the Consulate Docks, then they simply leave you without paying or attempt to make you think they did pay you but instead they cancelled the trade... so ye catch22

I agree with lilDeath, it is a bit of a waste of time...but at that, I think it is more a waste of time for people who are experienced with the game, and know other ways of making gold.

For someone new to the game (I hate the word "noob" :P), it's quite nice to make even 500g for something so easy. And yes it does take some patience, but someone who has just started nightfall and doesn't have many other characters, if any at all, this is probably the quickest way to make some gold for such a new char. That max armor is right there at the docks, you'll need some gold to get it. It doesn't take "too long" to get to the Time is Nigh quest. At this stage, you have probably only made 5k or so, and you've been playing for a week on and off. Now to milk this quest for all its worth playing taxi, I tried it out and spent 2 short evenings, and made just over 20k. Thats some nice pocket change for a (grunt) "noob". Oh and out of all the people I taxi'd, I only got scammed by 4 of them. Two just paid me less than what I asked, and two left before paying. When I started playing/learning guild wars prophecies, it took me about a month or more to get to that sort of gold. Of course I then sold my collectors ed Kuunavang and got me 100k, which I think im regretting now...I miss him...my armor doesn't make that cool flapping sound...:P

roffel :D

I'm so upset, I sold my Kuunavang for 90k, a while back when (I thought) it was going for around 70 - 100k. Now it's going for 100k + so many ectos. Silly me :(

I used to buy them for around 70k-80k or so, and sell them for 85 - 90k. Then I stopped playing guild wars for about 2 weeks, and they added that patch where you could have minipets out in outposts...of course I didnt realise this...then when I started playing again, someone in Lions arch was asking to buy a kuunavang, so I said he could have it for 95k, he offered 90k, and I gave it to him, thinking great, I will get another one for 75-80k again. Five mins later I saw him in Kamadan, selling it for 100k + 8 ectos, and now I cant afford to buy another one  Well I can afford it, but at a great loss. Anyone want to give me a Kuunavang? :p
