Kindle/Tablet or Physical Books?

KIndle Fire isn't bad at all really.
I have an iPad and use that when needed, but prefer reading a physical book of any books I will be keeping.

Kindle does not support epub. It would be best to go for a Kobo if you can find one for sale anywhere in South Africa.

Of course it does.

You just email it to your Kindle address and it converts it and pushes it to your Kindle.

What’s the objection to buying books on Amazon?

It’s the biggest library of books out there and it’s cheap as chips.

Not to mention with Family Sharing you can have it on 4 Kindles without an issue.

And being able to get samples helps a lot.

I don't think I have a single book on my kindle purchased from Amazon :o

Oh I thought it was only me..

I've had my kindle 10 years now and it still works, though granted I've not actually really used it for 3 years after I moved. But I've charged it up recently and it still turned on.

This. It's mostly just romance stuff.
Not true. Try the daily Free Books newsletter that I recommended (above).

Granted no Tom Clancy's in the list but enough to keep me more than happy - my collection of British police procedurals (my current "thing") is growing at a crazy rate :)

Much the same. I have two Kindles - the older Kindle 3 "Keyboard" and Kindle 6 "Paperwhite", both operating without hassles.

Any problems that I have had were sorted by Amazon support ASAP - they even expedited a replacement unit when I dropped and cracked my initial unit's screen.

UPDATE: I think I'm going to get a tablet (can anyone suggest a tablet that's good for e-reading?)...

I got these books in $1 bundles on Humble Bundle, there's no way in hell I'm paying that much for books I already have digitally...

Anything with a high res screen will do.

I suspect you might be able to find a good deal on a huawei mediapad perhaps.
