It's true!
So I was innocently watching The Island, which so far seems to be a rather strange yet interesting movie. Anyways, Ewan McGregor's character has this fight (like actual physical fight) with his girlfriend. Then in the background I noticed the (old) Xbox logo, with a scoreboard. Then as the camera moves around you can see that the people in the cage aren't real, and that the people themselves are outside doing all the moves, Kinect style! :D

And now that I have shared this epiphany I will go back to watching the movie...

I heard that three different departments at Microsoft developed similar "kinect" products without any of the others knowing about it. Seems like the structures at microsoft isn't all that great.

Kinect has been in development for years...even the PS4 is already in production now. If you know some top people at Sony or a place like GameSpot.com such news reaches you years before a rumor even starts.

Well obviously they will be working on it, even if it is only in the planning stages...

The Eye-Toy has been around since 2002 on PS2.

Whats your point?

And even before that when you bought a Pc WebCam, There used to similar type games on the Installation CDs. Good Job Microsoft. We have been seeing virtual reality in movies since forever and with the new 3d craze still nothing. Microsoft theres something you can work on :D

current gfx cards ie 580gtx, suffer when rendering 3d visuals in gaming. The ps3 has a variant of the 7950gt, so i'd hazard to say that there won't be too many 3d intensive games on the ps3. Since there's a push for 3d in the industry, it isnt too farfetch to assume that the ps4 is currently in development, altho how far the development is is anyone's guess. I expect the ps4 by 2013

To Bring out the PS4 just to support 3D gaming sounds like a waist to me. And they say long term 3d viewing is bad for your eyes? a movie is fine 1H30 mins . But when it comes to gaming the time is obviously longer. Problems problems problems ... Good luck with that Sony

This whole 3D extravaganza reminds me of the failure of ageia physx cards.
