Kinect TV Mount

So heres what i did :

I have one of those straight long generic wall brackets for my 42" tv.
It has various points on it where you can attach a tv.
Went to builders warehouse got an l shape metal bracket and a flat bracket.
they both also have various hole on them.

I attached the L shape on the wall braket then the flat one on top of this.
It makes a perfect T shape.

then simply put the Kinect on top.

cost me about R30

There is currently a Crown Kinect stand available in most Look & Listen branches, can't recall price off hand.. As from mid next week the ORB Universal Kinect and PS Move Camera mount will be in Look & Listen, BT Games and SUper CD stores - proper bracket for either camera with all the screws and both mounts in quality metal build which allows for fitting straight to flat screen TV, wall mount or tripod mount. Should be retailing at R399.

I ordered the Crown mount from Kalahari for R254. They're currently out of stock though.

Just ordered the Crown from Takealot.
Will let you know what it's like this evening when i get home.

Just note though, that when you put the bracket together you might have to turn the L bar around as opposed to what they show you in the instructions. I've read this on quite a few forums and have had to do it myself. Fits nice and tight and you could use double sided tape if you think you need it, but I haven't had to use any.
What's funny though, is that the instructions are all picture based but in different languages. Just doesn't make sense.

Thanks for this info, it definately came in handy.

Is the crown mount stable enough?

I am happy with the Crown. it is quite stable on my screen. I was worried that the kinect may move when starting up and adjusting, but it is very stable on the screen.

All in all, i am very happy.

its better above...according to numerous google searches... no wonder it hasnt been working great for me :)
