Has anyone seen this game available from any SA store? It came out in Europe 6 months ago, in UK 2 months ago, but I haven't seen any sign of it in any of the SA stores. As a long time HOMM fan, it's got a brilliant fresh take on the battle system.
 
I haven't seen it anywhere for sale but it's a good game as these types go. I don't remember there being anything to different about the battle system to Heroes but you do keep your hero, or actually character in this, through the whole game.

One thing that really bugged me what units, places seemed to run out of the units I wanted and I found the game to be rather hard on medium. I think there's a stand alone expansion coming out.

Sure, the places run out of good units all the time. Luckily they never run out of peasants. And peasants make excellent sacrifice fodder to create more demonesses (or paladins or shamens). :D

What made it more interesting that the HOMM battle system, was the increased focus on "special attacks" for individual units. I mean HOMM had maybe one special ability on a unit if you were lucky (bless on master genies, resurrection on archangels) but it wasn't that extensively used. In KB many of the units had 3 special moves in addition to the regular attack. That Chest with the Ice Orb and other more tactical spells also shook things up a bit.

Still, pity it's not around, would really like to buy it. Might have to import it from the US, as the UK no longer even has stock (according to Take2).
 
If you really want it you are going to have to import it. Had the same issues with Drakensang, another brilliant game but because its a budget title none of the distros here are bringing it into SA. Had to import it from the US.

If they can't be bothered to make it available here one way or another I can't be bothered to pay for it.
