Hey mybb braintrust!

As many of you may know the kitchen reno is underway nearing the end.

The counter happened to come out a touch further than expected and is now sorta online with the kek DB board now there are many ways to hide a DB board on the interwebs but what can I do to make this thing as legally invisible as possible.

What are the rules about covers etc. Any suggestions?

I haven't started tiling yet and I can get the electrician to do something before it's too late.

Heck at this stage I might even consider chasing the wall to hide the conduit. But I can sorta live with the conduit.

Thoughts shoot pls @soulie tagging you as you have a wealth of knowledge to share

For example can I get a cover that is literally the size of that metal block not with 10cm extra on the sides?

DIY a cover? As long as it opens that allowed?

Our last house’s DB was in a kitchen cupboard and our current is in a slim little cupboard with only the DB in it. Both got a COC although I will always question our current houses COC due to the nonsense I keep finding. I’ll try find a picture of the current one, nothing special, just a white box on the wall.

Stick a painting over it that's easy to remove in an emergency. You can add a sign below it to indicate the main switch is located there as well.

white subway tiles up to this spot.

I know a painting could work but might look odd a bit over painted wall and a bit over tile

Other option is painting it same color as wall on the right, wife is leaning in this direction

I think thats a good thing to try first. At the moment it draws your eye but once its covered and painted it will be less distracting.
