Okay so i know little to nothing about kiteboarding or kitesurfing but i want to get started. Love flying normal(kids type) kites but this is a whole new ball game.

I'm here to ask advice not generic nonsense on google but real advice as to where to buy what to buy what to look out for names, shops, prices etc.

Saw a kite at a outdoor type shop for R2200... know nothing about it(but it looked big and it had pictures of guys being pulled in the air :D) just saw it there all by its lonesome.

Please guys any advice you have will be appreciated. I was thinking of getting the kite and practicing on the beach for a while but am i wasting money here or what?

Edit: Oh maybe also some advice on how not to break bones and lose your kite

2x Edit: If it helps i'm lean and light as a feather round 60kg's.... so a blackbag will pull me up!! So ya keep that in mind before you suggest something that can lift a car!

There might be a few places you can go to get some lessons and try it first before actually buying any of the equipment.
I know in KZN there's www.ocean2air.co.za who sell equipment and offer lessons...

Have you found out any more about getting into kitesurfing? If not let me know and I'll make some suggestions. I'm a kiteboarding instructor.
