Eskom delays Koeberg unit return-to-service

Eskom has revealed that Koeberg's Unit 2 generator will only return to service by the end of July 2022, after previously confirming that it was set for the middle of the month.

The power utility's chief operating officer Jan Oberholzer attributed the delays to unexpected issues with the unit's polar crane, which it has now resolved.

Once the generating unit has been ramped up successfully, it will add 920MW to the national power grid.
I read earlier that Koeberg was originally built to supply the Western Cape with power

Those French guys enjoying the fruits of Franschoek for two more weeks?;)

I was told by a person on the project last week that they have been delayed for at least 50 days, July and August must be very long months then...

Does that mean I can go swim in their deep blue pool?
