So I just learned about this thing. Not quite sure how I feel about it, but it seems to be good for you. Anyone here drink it regularly? What benefits have you experienced? Anyone making their own?

Uuuuuurghhhh.
Vomits all over the cat.
Girlfriend fed me some.
Rather drink runny baby poo.

I think the benefits are way over-exaggerated. However, it's a nice refreshing drink on a cold day and using various fruits and teas allows you to flavor it naturally and how you want. My dad makes a pineapple and green-tea one that's real nice. You'll just need to get a scoby somewhere, though a few health-stores sell them in jars.

I'll stick to beer.

I think all the health mambo jumbo is seriously over-rated. It's no better than drinking a cup of tea, but I do enjoy it. Just pricey.

Hi, I've brewed kombucha before - I find it to be tasty. I would describe it perhaps as sparkling tea with a slight vinegar tang - don't be silly and buy a scoby - they costs hundreds of rands. Rather buy 2 small bottles of kombucha (500ml etc). Drink the one, if you like it, then use the second bottle of kombucha as a scoby starter fluid.

I learnt every thing about kombucha brewing on the r/kombucha subreddit - it's an extremely active and helpful community. And there is pretty much 0 effort required. Good luck!
