ie 16x 12v batteries to get going that explains gifting
so if you can get 60x 25ah cells you would end at the 192v and have a 4.8kw battery
or 9.6kw with 50ah cells
and have to be ultra careful building that battery
and dc is dangerous and even more so the higher the voltage goes

importing the problem is going over R20k or 3 shipments per year lands you in needing to be registered as an importer
