Kratky's non-circulating hydroponics method - no aeration needed!

Hi Guys, saw there's a well commented hydroponics method and wondering if anyone here has experimented with the Kratky method?
I'm about to start my own experiments in 80L+ crates/containers I got from Westpack. If anyone else is keen we can share information as the whole nutrients mix is where it gets hard.

Check out his list of videos as well and one thing that is forsure the fertilisers overseas is much better and readily available.

+1. Otherwise your post will just get lost. I tried this method with one lettuce plant in a bucket as a test last year and it worked like a charm. This was when simply using Nutrifeed at the recommended concentrations. No need to over complicate things.

Hahaha why? Its one of the few ones that doesnt use diary! My kids cant digest them. Soya is the way to go.

Thanks, good method.I would add an airstone in the bottom of the bucket anyways.

The Kratky method was specificly designed for non circulating and no extra airstones or pumps needed. Totally off the grid.

I need airstones to keep my nutrient solution from settling at the bottom.

Having it thoroughly premixed is probably the solution. Remember the Nutrifeed always has some unmixed residue(if that's what you are using). Kratkys whole point is a no fuss solution. That said for best results a flat bed with nutrient solution and a Styrofoam board floating on top with holes for your net pots is probably the best solution. Only issue is space.
