It does look rather appealing though. Only had it once and it was gorgeous. I can't imagine what a really fresh specimen like that would taste like!
 
I got an offer to do some at Betty's bay last week but I had other arrangements :(. Next time for sure

WEST COAST ROCK LOBSTER SEASON ANNOUNCED

The Minister of Environmental Affairs and Tourism, Marthinus van Schalkwyk, has announced the new recreational season for west coast rock lobster.

The new season for recreational fishing of west coast rock lobster will open on 15 November 2008 and will close on 15 April 2009. From 15 November 2008 to 31 December 2008 fishing will be allowed every day of the week, but from 1 January 2009 to 15 April 2009 fishing will be restricted to weekends and public holidays only.

Fishing times for West Coast rock lobster will be from 8:00 till 16:00. The rock lobsters must be landed by 16:00. The bag limit is four (4) lobsters per person per day and the size restriction is 80 mm carapace length.
