Kriel Power Station Shut Down??

Eskom weren't planning on shutting it down, last I heard. Will pop in a call later today and ask.
Thing is, it's a useful power station, but too expensive to upgrade to "current standards", and if they do have money available, it would rather go towards the new power station, or paying of loans.


Okay.... they're staying open.
They are still busy with the licence thingy, but Kriel Municipality doesn't have a problem with the power station (since it provides the area with jobs and so forth).

As bad as those emissions are our grid can't survive without that power station supplying so I doubt they will shut it down. The cost to the economy would be astronomical if we had another series of blackouts.
