KSTAR UA300 Fault

Hi all,

Someone I know has a KSTAR UA300 ups purchased from Takealot. The unit works when powering a load from the battery supply, but the moment you plug the input into the AC main supply, the UPS turns off and gives a long continuous beep.

He sent the unit back twice all with the same problem. 3rd unit he's on now with the same issue. Any ideas, or anything to try?

if it's his 3rd then its a bad ups especially when it fails on AC side of things

This fault occurs on all 3 brand new units. None of them ever worked. So was wondering if we doing something wrong. Takealot have no support. They just send a new unit and collect the old one, then the same problem occurs

Maybe his wiring is faulty, has he tried it at another house?

Don't know if swapped live and neutral wires would cause an issue.

Yes he said he tried at 3 different locations in 3 different areas. He has other UPS that work perfectly on the same AC mains supply

Sounds like a faulty batch.
