Kubuntu 8.1 Keeps rebooting

I am forced to use windows but luckily I have virtualbox on linux to tame it from taking over my PC and occasionally forcing me to reboot. I moved over to linux when my ASUS motherboard kept giving BSODs, it was a new board and the BSODs have stopped a month ago after the new bios updates which have made windows stable again but I find linux far more user friendly and am a convert. I keep my windows apps safely working in virtualbox but have a Vista partition only for gaming.

I love Linux and have no regrets.

Hardly ever had BSOD's - the last time I had, it was faulty ram due to the load shedding... and before that, because i was overclocking my P2 - but that was YEARS ago! Otherwise XP & Vista runs stable.

I've been following every new release of Kubuntu for quite a while now, some better than others, 8.1 seems nice, but honestly lost my cool with it. I like the way they've tried to make updating drivers easier via Adept... but stopping X Server was completely changed this time round. What worked on 8.04 doesnt work on 8.1 !

I think when i've gathered my patience, I'll try something other than ubuntu - perhaps i'll find some other distro more to my liking!

Its funny, you guys get all hot under the collar when bad things are said about Linux, but you guys think its okay to do the same with MS!...
