Anyone noticing any issues with kubuntu 7.10 64 bit edition - I cant even get it to install it boots into live distro then install hangs at partitioning on 0% - drive is newly formated 320gb ntfs and I wanna make swap and seperate partition for kubuntu.

Is 7.10 unstable or ?

Thanks
J

Is this on the same machine that you have just built that wouldn't start up and on which Windows wouldn't install?

If it is then it's obvious that Kubuntu is totally broken.

I get the same with Kubuntu. KDE simply is not as Refined as Gnome in Ubuntu.

I found PCLinuxOS far more stable if you want KDE

Fixed the windows issue tried a diff install disk and meh it worked so I'm guessing that install disc was screwed - kubuntu boots fine into the live disc but upon install it just pauses at arb %'s - hasnt crashed just doesnt do anything can still do anything else in kubuntu - i'll fiddle tomorrow - prefer the ubuntu installer never had issues with that, have had issues with kubuntus install on my old athlon as well - not the best installer.

have you chech the md5sum of the ISO to see if it is fine? though i suppose it if boots into the liveCD one would suspect it is fine.
