As far as entry-level colour laser printers go, the Kyocera FS-C5100DN does a stellar job in the small office environment.
This entry-level A4 colour laser printer has been faithfully printing out documents in the SACM office for close on two months now and we have yet to hear a complaint about the print quality.
As an entry-level device, there are a few shortcomings; but these issues are things like slow warm-up times, something that one would expect from an entry-level device. Having said that, we have been printing hundreds of images and text documents without fail, and our overall impression of this printer has been a very positive one.
Considering that this is a network printer (although it can also connect to your PC using USB), you will be able to share it easily among the office computers. The drivers are easy to install, and it picked up the printer on our network without much hassle. About the only thing I could find fault with is the annoying status monitor icon on my desktop, which doesn’t seem to want to disappear, even after I instruct the software to hide the icon.
In terms of performance, we are happy with the average of 20 pages per minute we achieved for A4 colour prints. Even photo printing seems to be no problem for this colour laser printer.
