Ohhh...., now I get.
Unfortunately in many cases like this , I know of one,( 7 armed, bashed into house killed one), close to home, justice is never served, SAPS haven't even caught anyone in this case. And what they've done just 2 minutes ago to these people are (legal, constitutional, or even humane.)
Its protecting the next poor person in his/her house or car, shop etc

I was trying to retrieve my belongings with the same method they took it, but they ran so I enforced the threat they used against me.
insane that a criminal has any rights in this. robbing by gunpoint and got shot themselves. they were not even good at robbing. when does the robbery end? when they leave or when they have gotten away?

It went all wrong when you mentioned rights for criminals. the moment you mess with someone, steal or rob them, you shouldn't have any rights. But ya, the criminals rule in SA just because of all this rights BS.
So the guy turns around with your belongings in his hands, after putting you in said trauma, are you going to tap him on the shoulder and ask him to give your stuff back? On their way with your child/wife , what are you going to do? Not shoot?

It is insane, but criminals are apparently human and subject to pesky things such as human rights. A criminal's right to life is worth more than a victim's right to property in this country.
As with most of the legislation in this country, it is too idealistic to address the needs of the people. Protecting the life of the scum that are robbing innocents in this country is not helping society.

That's two different things. You may use deadly force to save the persons, but not the belongings. Have you done your firearm proficiency?

Its not as if the guy robbing you is likely to have studied the firearms act
