So having read the above article, I was wondering, why does it have to take such extreme circumstances such as the Pietermaritzburg Municipality practical being bankrupt, before any proper action is taken??? I mean seriously, holy cow, this has been going on for ages now!
How are they going to pay for the audits and legal fees? Sure they have recovered about R8million, well done, that might be enough to fix a km of road! I think the estimates on irregularities is sorely underestimated.
We need a government for our government..... eish!
