So having read the above article, I was wondering, why does it have to take such extreme circumstances such as the Pietermaritzburg Municipality practical being bankrupt, before any proper action is taken??? I mean seriously, holy cow, this has been going on for ages now!

How are they going to pay for the audits and legal fees? Sure they have recovered about R8million, well done, that might be enough to fix a km of road! I think the estimates on irregularities is sorely underestimated.

We need a government for our government..... eish!

One day.... just one day.... I would love to know what SA has lost due to embezzlement/corruption...
In fact, I'd REALLY love to know what each country in the world has lost... I imagine there's some scary numbers out there....

Anybody else noted all the crime, murder, babies in toilets and corruption coming out of natal?

Are they just to dumb to cover their tracks properly or did they not get the memo from Lancelot to be overly optemistic?

Ps Lancelot - only kidding messing with you :)

But it is pretty hectic down there it seems

We have the highest populace in the country of all the provinces, of which a majority is rural. So it stands to reason that crime would be higher due to socio-economic conditions. Thats the politically correct way of saying it!!
