JOHANNESBURG - Being an induna in KZN has become so lucrative that people are now killing for the position, that’s the belief of a cultural expert.

More than 25 traditional leaders have been killed in the province since 2019.

Traditional leaders, mostly izindunas, say they feel they're living on borrowed time.

Cooperative Affairs in the province says it will convene an imbizo with traditional leaders and law enforcement to devise a plan to put an end to the killings.

izindunas have their own henchmen they must just train them better to protect the indunas .
Have you ever been to a function with those guys , there is no way you get close to them unless they want you to and even then they speak through some one that is appointed to do that .
If they invite you to sit at their table there are at least four people between you and the induna .

The words ‘I told you so’ come to mind

You must have seen part of tribal council and/or a bunch of hangers-on from families of the tribal council. They do nothing more than block direct access to the induna. They'll probably manhandle you if you persist but mostly that's all they can do.

Maybe in KZN they also carry guns but elsewhere, they don't carry weapons.

Nothing to see here.

Just the usual day to day crime.

Maybe also list how many ordinary citizens are murdered every day in KZN ?
