KZN man stabbed while fighting off home robber

Durban – A KwaZulu-Natal man risked his life fighting off a knife-wielding robber in his kitchen in the early hours of Tuesday morning, local police said.

The Hillcrest resident, 44, woke up at 00:00 after hearing noises from his lounge, police spokesperson Captain Nqobile Gwala said.

He went to investigate, found a man in his kitchen and shouted at him. The intruder grabbed a knife from the kitchen drawer and the two began scuffling.

Meanwhile, a second suspect was banging on a window. A third man was waiting nearby.

The home owner managed to push the intruder out of a window and all three men ran away empty-handed. The man sustained stab wounds to his left arm and forehead.

Police are investigating a case of attempted house robbery.

Nah, probably needs to be in ICU for that. Or the perp needed to be the one with stab wounds.

I'd like to see all these criminal POS walked off a plank into an active volcano. Sick and fscking tired of it.

A reasonable man (burglar) would obviously be startled by the home owner approaching him in the middle of the night while in a strange home, furthermore did the home owner declare to the alleged thief it was a knife free zone or inform the stranger of the laws regarding stabbings ?
