Let's give it a try.
Those of you who remember L M Radio, the days of good music, with all the golden oldies, well it is back broadcasting from Maputo, Mozambique. Let’s try to get as many names so we can get LM Radio to broadcast in the whole of South Africa, at this time it is available in the Free State on MW 1197. Listening brought back many good memories..

I am delighted that you have found and enjoy LM Radio.

You will be pleased to know that we are in the process of applying for a Medium Wave licence to broadcast in the Western CApe and Gauteng.

The Gauteng signal should cover into the Northern Free State as far as Winburg 24 hours a day.

It is very important that we receive letters of support for our application.

If you would like to help us, would you mind starting a petition amoung all your friends and aquaintences to support an LM Radio licence application. Gather as many signatures as you can and then scan and send to

If you can receive it on streaming audio, this should be ok. My digital radio receives it (but only inside the house)
 
They are also on PAS7, but if you have any kind of splitter on your DStv installation you wont get them, as they are on the upper Ku band, whereas DStv are in the lower.

Honestly, I dont know if the masses today are prepared to listen to MW, no matter how good the content.

Who the fook still has a device, capable of recieving MW? I certainly don't.
 
Damn, come to think of it, I think I know where I can "relieve" a mate of a radio, that can play MW, I will, drop in on my mate, an liberate the device. ;)

Don't think so. They applied for a AM licence and that is what they got.
Hopefully DAB will be here one day, and all the stations will be on the same quality.

One can only hope, but in the current era, the flame is not burning high.
 
Their AM Transmitter is still down, and no sign of it being fixed by Sentech any time soon....
