L2TP on Netgear DGN2200Mv2TELKOM Router?

Hi Guys,

I see that if I want to have my internet connection (ADSL) running on a static IP address, I will need to be sure the router supports L2TP. Reason I ask this, I want to try and setup my own email server, just for the experience and fun. I got the Netgear DGN2200Mv2 TELKOM ADSL router at home... I been trying to find a L2TP section, but not sure where to locate this... I am led to believe settings for a static IP address are entered in the "Basic Settings" page.

Does this router support L2TP? How do I get to setting it up? Also, another side question I got, can one get a static IP address through the mobile operators on their 3G connections? I do have the Unrestricted APN on my Cell C 3G card.

The only way you can get a static IP address is by paying for the service via Axxess, Afrihost, Webafrica, Vox, Mweb etc. If you look at the specifics, they only support very specific ADSL modems that's been tried and tested. I've set up a static IP for a client via Axxess and a ZyXEL router. I also have a Netgear, tried that, now work :wtf:
