The first hop after the router is heavily congested at specific times - mostly during the evening and Friday & Saturday night in particular. All that is a royal pain in the arse since that is pretty much the only time I'm at home & can utilize the ADSL.
It recovers later in the evening 22h00+.
Tried:
- Two different backbones (IS/OW & SAIX/TI)
- Checked line stats - looks good, no errors
- Used firewall to check that nothing is using the line
- Reset router
I would have tried a port reset too, but got tired of the endless "Your call is important to us" loop on 10210.
EDIT: Missing info per the sticky.
