LAN and Internet setup:IP adress??

Okay, cutting down to the serious things. I hope this thread is in the right place, I just need advise please.
I have two PC, (Win7)and would like to LAN to play multiplayer. How do you setup the Ip adresses between these two pc's, BUT still able to go online (browse I mean) I have used the ip 168.0.1.1 etc, but then my Internet cuts off.
I have router and are using Mweb as my subscriber?

Your router should be supplying your 2 PC's with IP addresses through DHCP. Just set them both up to automatic and remove the static IP addresses.
If you really need static then you have to set the gateway on the 2 PCs to the router's IP address.

On Windows I think you run ipconfig /all to find out the IP of the computer.

Or depending on the router, login to it and see what IPs it has assigned.
