LAN/DC++ and Steam

If I would like to share my Steam Files. I have the entire Half Life Series and CSS etc on my steam account but id like to share the files needed to update other peoples clients when they legally logon with their steam account so they dont have to download everything. whats the best way to do this?

If you look in your steamapps folder, there are all the .gcf files, If they copy those into their steamapp folders, then everything will show as fully updated.
