lan light keeps going off

Hi..I have a Modem/Router Billion 7100SV..When i do a couple of settings within the router itself, i will have intermitted lan disconnection issues...the light goes off....then will come on after about 3 min....Then off again after about 3 min....then on again..I even had trouble accessing the router..I have tried diff network cards as well as changing to a diff slot on the computer..Sometimes even after doing a "factory reset", i also battle to get in the router....then...suddenly...everything will be ok after about 10 min of battle..Any ideas whether this could "maby" be "setting" related??....thing is....Can a router's "LAN-light" go off even if the SETTINGS are wrong??

mmmm...Well what do you know.....I have disabled DHCP Server in the router settings and used manual settings...seems to work SO FAR!!!.....will keep you updated if you are interested ;-)

do you have another dhcp server running on your network? could have been a conflict?

Still not working

Nope.....After hours of battling, i have decided to "call it a day"..The router is going back..When i installed my OLD router ADSL ROUTER POTS, everything works 100%.....btw...who needs Voip anyways...Now i'm going for the Billion 7402 with Parental Control
