Ok I know this has to do with a game but as far as I could troubleshoot this problem, it seems to me that it has to be sometype of router setting. Me and a friend are lanning on a Marconi 4 port Router. We are playing warcraft 3 and I opened the ports on the Marconi router the same as described here http://www.portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Marconi/Marconi-Model2/Warcraft_III.htm
So I added ports 6112 with my friend's ip and 6113 with my ip and it does work. Because I can go on Battle.net and create a game where everyone can join, as can my firend. Although only one person cant join, my friend cant join the game I created as well as I cant join the game my friend created. Where everyone else can. This has to do something with the Marconi 4 port router. And before you ask ... yes all firewalls are turned off and so forth. I check everywhere I tried everything. He can join if we just play a normal Local Area Network game but then it's just 2 players and not 6 :( PLZ reply if any one out there has the slightest idea on how to fix this!!!!!

If you are both using the same router to access the net then you will both have the same IP address registered on the game server. The game server is probably not allowing you to join because it sees that you and the game have the same IP and assumes that you are hosting the game.

Only way that I can think round it would be to change the router to bridge mode and create a PPPoE connection from each machine. Each PC would then have a seperate IP address assigned to it when connecting. Your ISP account would have to allow 2 concurrant connections though for this to work.

Hope this helps.
