Landis+Gyr communication error

Does anyone perhaps knows of any codes to either clear the error or reset the meter? There is no manual.

Eskom is being their usual unhelpful self and we have waiting for their technicians since yesterday morning.

The only way I know of resetting it is to unplug it and remove the batteries for a few minutes

I used to get error 30 a lot. Only solution was to switch off the mains and then only could I load data. Someone suggested I got to my neighbor to load, but I never had to do that.

I got my unit replaced eventually and now it works 100.

The error clears itself when the CIU can communicate with the meter. The reason for this is because the CIU is either not plugged into the wall, the breaker is off, or the switch at the plug is off, or the CIU is plugged into an outlet on a different circuit to the meter
