I drive a Freelander 2, SE i6 (petrol, auto) and while the 'official fuel consumption' for this model is at 11L-12L/100km, I seem to be getting 17L/100km - which is a big difference really! Could there be something wrong with the way I drive? I obviously do not use the 4x4...

What is your fuel consumption for Freelander 2, i6 (petrol)?

Ouch, that sounds more like my brothers Discovery V8 Petrol. How long have you had it, how long has it done that consumption and what kind of driving do you do?

do you drive in town and in traffic ?

Ok

2015 Freelander 2 SD4 auto : off highway traffic 10l/100Km
on highway peak traffic 8.1l/100km

Note: I drive like Miss Daisy these days

have your AFR checked by a mechanic. That might be over rich mixture, or you have a fuel leak.

I bought the car second hand recently and I honestly don't drive that wildly in particular (nor do I drive like a little missy...) so I'm really not sure what could be wrong? I do drive in town, but rarely traffic.

Any tips on how I can get 10L/100km? :(

Maybe I really do need to get the AFR checked...

sounds like a mechanical issue hey. doesnt seem normal. If you were daily in bumper to bumper, then maybe
