Languages for Android Development

Hi Guys

I need help with what programming language to do for Android Development i want to develop apps that i have ideas for but i am new to the programming world which i am interested to get into what languages do i have to learn for Android development at first and what softwares to use for Android app development and i want to find out what is the process of getting your developed app to the play store
 
or HTML, CSS and Javascript if using Cordova/PhoneGap

We do Android dev at work... We currently use the official SDK (Android Studio) and its Java code you write.
 
I been using Android Studio and Java / XML to make some Android apps... I am also learning Android App Development.... I am using Murach's Android Programming (E-Book) and some YouTube tutorials. Xamarin / C# sounds interesting, will definitely look into that.
 
I've started learning android development, using Android studio. My laptop processor doesn't have the hardware virtualization setting so I can't do anything. Will it be a good idea to just get a cheap Smartphone up to R1000 to test the apps on? At this stage getting a new laptop isn't on as I'm not working at this stage.

The fact that you could not find out any of this information yourself does not bode well for your programming career.

If you don't have any programming experience, maybe start with App Inventor: http://www.appinventor.org/

Anybody who believes Googling and StackOverflow facilitates programming likely writes some really verbose and fugly code.

Get the smartphone for general use. It sounds like you're using an old phone or something.
And +1 on Blue Stacks. Can't comment on Genymotion (I have yet to play with it). HAXM tool works for me and my AVD loads in seconds.

Just google it, there are a ton of resources on the web to help you out. Google has resources to explain the entire process.

Recently published my first app to the Google Playstore and Apple App Store - relatively painless.
