@lantic uncapped, do or don't?

'ello, so next month may be the month! Next month we may get dsl! So im in a catch 22 abt isp's, mweb seems to be suffering so not even sure how safe it is and no one ever talks about @lantic... If anyone has knowledge could they shed some light on the stability/ quality of atlantic, they're a few coins cheaper than mweb too lol. Many thanks
 
As far as I know, they are just reselling IS uncapped, Im on this, and speeds is realy random, somtimes in the middle of the day torrents go at full line speed, and other times your not even able to open google. Maybe look at the openweb gold package. Im not sure about the performance, but you are bound to find something on MyBB...
 
I had not seen a complain about @lantic for quite a while on MyBB. The must be doing something right somewhere!
 
Do not, under any circumstances, sign up for an account with @lantic. They are a morally corrupt company. I will post a thread soon about my experience with them.
 
@lantic uncapped has been extremely slow. I'm getting 0.03 Mbps download and 0.04 Mbps upload speed the last few days on a 384kbps ADSL line. On a Afrihost 1Gb package I get 0.35 and 0.10 Mbps. All according to www.speedtest.net.
I phoned then and they basically said that the uncapped account is SH*T and that I should switch to the R69/Gb capped account. I think NOT!
So - don't get an uncapped account unless you plan to use more than 10Gb/month. There are plenty providers that will beat @lantic with capped accounts below the 10Gb break-even mark.
 
I asked around when I was looking, and I was recommended to look elsewhere. Obviously depends on what is important for you, how much usage you are expecting, etc. I am with OpenWeb, and couldn't be happier, at the moment.
