Laptop and Projector Trouble

I am struggling to get a Epson Projector EMP-S1 to work on my Dell Laptop D430. The projector works without any problem on other laptops, but not mine. All that the screens shows is "No Signal".

Any ideas what might be wrong please?

I'm not sure about Dell but on most laptops there is a 'function' key that you need to press in conjunction with one of the funcion buttons at the top of the keyboard, usually it has a little monitor symbol on it. Google dell function keys and see what you find.
