Laptop around R10000

Hi guys

I'm trying to find a friend of mine a laptop around R10000 or less.

His requirements are simple.

1) Quick (minimal lag)
2) Stylish (silly, I know, but he's just that kinda guy).
3) Must have an optical drive.
4) 6GB Ram or more.

He works in the accounting field so it will mostly be used for running basic Word, Excel etc. (No games).

If anyone has any suggestions, deals, let me know. I'll look through them all.

I can't think of anything that matches all those...Dell Inspiron 3558 isn't particularly stylish but has 6Gb RAM and the optical. Same story with the Acer Aspire E5-774.

Check out @Flashgear in the classifieds. He sells some decent laptop from time to time.

That's a great laptop, but it's sold, and not sure if he is keen on second hand.

Brand new at that price point might be a hard find.

Probably not, but I can probably negotiate him down to 4gb.

There's 2 demo Dell Latitudes up in the classifieds, also by Flashgear, he puts up new stock every week and it moves quite fast, so I suggest you get your money ready so you can pull the trigger when the right one comes along.

If the laptop doesn't have a disc drive, just get e.g. http://www.wootware.co.za/transcend-ts8xdvds-k-external-usb-powered-dvd-multi-writer-black.html for ~R500 (after delivery).
So any laptop that fits specs (excluding dvd drive) for R9500.00
