Laptop diagnosis

I know of a place in Stellenbosch called Active Systems. They are pretty decent if you don't find a place in Somerset West area.

Dont judge the place by its looks / reception cause it pretty much fails in both those fields. Their troubleshooting / tech support is solid though.
 
I lived in Stellenbosch all my life. :D I used to go to them all the time, but their hourly rates went up a lot in the past years. The 20min drive from Somerset West doesn't bother me at all, but just want to get more options.

Somerset West is pretty dire as far as pc support goes. There is one place on corner of Reitz/Victoria I never tried. I'd warn you against going to Cell&IT (or whatever it's called now). Those guys are just salesmen. Ratwiz seems to know his stuff, maybe you can try him out.
 
For the past +/- 5 years Active systems hourly rates only went up with R20 a hour. I'd know since I worked there till about 3 weeks ago (got a new job at capitecbank). Also don't be scared of the hourly rates as they wont ever charge you more than 2hours labor even if they struggle with it for a week.
